Sonic The Hedgehog 2
I was initially hired to help on Sonic 2 in the Layout department, but our team was later needed on Chip N’ Dale.
During my short but very fun time on the project, I blocked the drone animation and laid it out to fit the environment and characters.
Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers
In some sequences, I positioned the characters within the environment and adjusted their eye contact to match the conversations.
Chip N’ Dale was my first official project in Layout, where I animated extensively, constrained assets to characters holding them, and ensured that the environment layout was realistic enough for the animated characters to interact with.
To sum up, my tasks in Layout varied widely but were all aimed at building the 3D world and the characters moving within it, helping to streamline the work of the following departments.
